So after my last post, Jeff assured me that we would be okay driving the back way through to his brother's place. He went out, warmed the car, tested driving around the carpark and we set off. We spent a lovely day with his brother and family, and after doing a spot of shopping, we curled up in bed at the hotel for an early night.
The next morning, after the sun came up, I peeked outside. Yes there was snow still about, but look! The car isn't covered in snow! The roads are dry!
So at lunch time, we set off home. I almost missed getting a photo of Cinci... and it's not a great one, through the smeary windscreen... But there it is.
This gives you an idea of how much happier I was coming home on Saturday instead of Friday. Clear skies, dry roads and less traffic... phew!
We stopped in at Florence Mall, and I frightened little old ladies in the mall (obviously my blue hair is a communicable disease!), we had some lunch, and head off home.
That folks, was my anniversary.. :)... we tried to book the carriage ride for that night, but they were booked out. So I penciled one in for Sunday night, only they couldn't tell me for sure whether it would go ahead until the next day..
